Overview
More than an experience, it's a learning that can change your lifestyle.
We will learn to grow our own food inside the La Macadamia organic garden, which is located within the city of Uruapan.
We will start with a talk about biointensitive agriculture (organic and within reach of any person) and recognize some of its benefits.
We will walk through the organic garden to learn about some of its unique sites, such as the living pharmacy (where native aromatic and medicinal species are seen), the macadamia and coffee tree path, the bamboo collection, and the collection of cacti.
We will give an explanation of the plantains and seeds that we have available and decide if we plan directly or if we put them in storage.
We will prepare for the planting work, getting familiar with the tool and the cultivation area.
After we pick what we're going to plant, we'll spend an hour or more in the planting work.
We will end with tasting some local snacks, accompanied by organic coffee and macadamia nuts grown in the garden.
